Traven havis grandan talenton ankaŭ kiel poeto. Tion pruvas liaj kantotekstoj. Verŝajne li estis enkore pli poeto ol prozisto, tio povus esti. Certe estas, ke li kapablis verki tre emociige.
La sekvan poemon, kiun mi sendas al Ipernitio, tiu de Mühsam, estas similia kazo. Mühsam estis anarkiisto, tion oni devas scii, se oni legas lian belegan poemeton. Li admiras ne venkopordegojn, sed homojn kiuj amas sin reciproke. Kia granda penso! Kia fajna ironio! Simile agrabla kiel tiu de Traven, kiu verkis,ke oni trovu kanonojn nur plu en muzeoj, por montri kiom frenezaj la homoj iam estis.
