That looks a steep climb but the glimpse of the view shows how worthwhile the effort was. I like the sculptural tree branches and of course the bees. A nice composition and two bees in focus. I never manage that.

It's a long trek up to the site Jean and then it gets higher. I didn't attempt where you see in the picture. It was extremely windy up there! The bee picture was the only one of 5 that had them both in focus :-)

I love the main image Rosa............it's very well composed with a lovely background view and the silhouetted man is just perfect.

The PiP with the bees is just spot-on. Great focus and detail and a wonderful out-of-focus background.

I also like the PiP with the tree branch- it has an interesting shape and looks good against the grass and sky. Nature's abstract artwork! The light is lovely too.

It was so windy up there Keith. I had a job to hold the camera still.
Thank you for your kind comments on all the pictures. I love finding nature's artwork!

I love the gradation of tones in the foreground, Rosa. The way the tones go from green to yellow to orange is very effective. Cheers, Joe

I am surprised that you didn't find your way up to Cadbury Castle!

I hope the view was worth the effort of walking up there, a great capture with the bees, it depends on your imagination if that is part of a dead tree or some strange creature that guards the hill !! Have you managed to avoid the thunder storms ? enjoy your evening Rosalyn

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Peter Castell club
It was windy and misty Peter, but good exercise. To me it was the remains of a fine creature defending the castle ;-)) Still no thunderstorms!

Many decades since I viaited Cadbury. A dramatic shot, Rosa and a great compo with that curving L to R diagonal hillside upwards sweep.
(... Crikey! I've just been teaching a student the correct word order for multiple adjectives and I think I might have got one or two of them in the wrong place in that last sentence! A question of 'do as I say, not as I do!')

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Andy Rodker club
Thank you Andy. So you are back teaching! Is it by video link or are you back in the classroom?
I don't think anyone would notice whether your multiple adjectives are in the wrong order, or not!
Sophie gives me tests when we are playing schools! Can you believe she comes home from school and we play schools. LOL!

A fine series, Rosa. The main image gives an indication of the wide landscape waiting beyond the ridge and macro of the bees is excellent.

If i was climbing up here, I'd get really puffed out. I love the PiP of the bumble bee on the thistle, Rosa. Thistles seem to be attracting somne excellent wild life this year.

I did rest a couple of times climbing up there Amelia. It is very high and you can normally see Glastonbury Tor in the distance, but not that day!
