Yes it was more colourful than expected Nick. I don't think I have ever seen rhododendrons this early, although one of them was called Christmas Cheer, so I guess it is an early variety!

The rhododendrons are very pretty................and really brighten up the scene. I like the detail you've captured and especially that lovely old tree trunk.

I escaped the house for a short walk today (supervised of course) and even managed a few pics :-)

Well, it is very mild and everything seems to be ahead of its time. Not really a good sign, but nice to see such colour in winter. My daff's are out now and the primroses are well on their way.
