Thanks - I was drawn in by the flowers going so nicely with the leaves behind (which weren't their leaves).

Thanks, they were great to come across.
I do think some type of Clematis. Which variety? Your guess is probably better than any of mine. There are so so many types!

[At first I type Enda - and thought of songs (from the 50's?) where they add a 'a' sound at the end of words. End'a'. *smile*]

Thank you. I'm always amazed how such delicate flowers survive - like butterflies. Delicate apparently doesn't mean they can't survive.

Those are both good guesses. And your guess is as good as mine. I didn't stop to ask my neighbor. Silly me.

There's always next time.

I've always wanted to grow more sun-loving plants, but with summer temps continuing to rise as the years roll by, maybe shade isn't so bad.

raingirl club has replied to xenophora club
I know what you mean. I grew up in a wooded area just outside downtown portland, and chose a house with lots of trees for my own home. I just have to appreciate the shade and look to other gardens for bright sun loving flowers.

I do use Google Lens sometimes, but not very often. I love relying on my friends and neighbors with their own wealth of knowledge! But thanks for the tip - I will remember it.

raingirl club has replied to Marije Aguillo club
I knew there was something like that but didn't know the name. So thank you for the name of it, Plantnet.

I do, however, enjoy connecting with friends and neighbors to chat about plants, or just wonder about the plants I see. I'm not too worried about names most of the time, but enjoy it when I am told or discover the name.

I do love that ipernity friends know so much about plants! We are definitely nature lovers here.
