Rob (our webmaster) helps me get the word out about our event by posting the banner and reminding me how to do team articles etc. As usual he is the backbone of our club.

We do have a varied group of photographers, and I'm also fascinated with the different styles and approaches.

Thank you. I haven't been using my regular digital camera recently, and so for the day I made myself do so. It really is better for me than my phone's camera - as good as that camera is. I like having more control that the Nikon gives me.

That translucence is exactly what drew me out of my house and to the flower to photograph it. I acted quickly as we all know how quickly the sun moves! But I took the time to use manual controls and I think that really helped make this work.

The photo of me? I always look better slightly out of focus or through a hazy curtain. *smile*

Only today feeling past the worst of my illness. It was a sneaky virus, but I'm pretty sure my body has figured it out now. Thanks for checking.

The light sparingly illuminating nature (or anything else) bathed in greyness brings a dynamic that's sometimes absent from a subject subjected to constant light, doesn't it?
The bokeh underlines these pretty contrasts and gives your photo a true WPD-like charm.
