24 ENGLAND - Mansion

24 ENGLAND - Mansion
Continuing with vacation photos from 2022:

We left London. This wonderful mansion was availalbe for touring (photos from inside and closer later).
----------
I doubt anyone can recognize what mansion this is from this photo, but if you care to guess I will give the hint that the natural plant patterns seen here might lead you to the right place.
-----------
And if one cares to comment on the photo itself, I would say that while I certainly could have brightened and sharpened the image, I chose not to because this was has the day actually was and I also like days like this (it's one of the things England and Oregon - at least the Willamette Valley - have in common). But I'm happy to hear what others think.

Nouchetdu38, , Edna Edenkoben, Hari Gorgo and 17 other people have particularly liked this photo

So you're getting a creepy feeling from this angle on the building?

Are you wrong? Well, the movie psycho was not filmed there. But I totally see the connection - the roof top does look a lot like the building in psycho. (This buildling is in England.)
Can you get a creepy feeling from the photo? "Beauty" is always in the eye of the beholder, so of course you can - nothing wrong with that.

Lovely photo. We were in England before going on to Normandy. Spent our time in Shropshire.

Thank you.
As with many places in England, Shropshire seems to have a fascinating history (just read wikipedia). I haven't been to that part of England, what drew you there? Anything in particular?

RHH has replied to raingirl club
Learned about the Battle of Shrewsbury and am rereading Henry IV (parts I and II). Have read Eliis Peters Cadfael whodunits and wanted to see Shrewsbury Castle and Abbey. We were there however because I had to speak at a conference.
