River Thames at Brentford

The tall tower to the left is London Museum of Water and Steam (a former pumping station); Kew Bridge is just round the bend; and that's Brentford Ait (a small island) on the right.
Grand Union Brentford

The Grand Union Canal at Brentford: there's obviously been a fair bit of money spent around here, but it all looks rather fine in the sunshine.
In the background is the headquarters of GlaxoSmithKline alongside the Great West Road.

Inglesham Church
St. John the Baptist Church has remained substantially unaltered, so far as its structure is concerned, since the early 16th century. The building dates back to the early 13th century.
Apparently, I should have been able to venture inside, but I was anxious to push on the last couple of miles to Lechlade.
Inglesham Footbridge

This bridge is around a mile from the town of Lechlade and crosses the Thames just downstream from the junctions with the River Coln and long-abandoned Thames-Severn Canal
Ha'penny Bridge
The Town Bridge on the southern approach to Lechlade is usually referred to as the "Ha'penny Bridge", referring to the toll in years gone by

The Thames Path crosses from the South bank to the north near Eysey, just outside Cricklade
Messing about on the river
A group of canoeists ventured out onto the Thames, but didn't get very far downstream
St Mary's Cricklade

The Catholic Church, but formerly Anglican, the building dates back 1000 years or so.
The Thames At Cricklade

The river flows through the top of the town, and is a fairly sedate little river at this point

A couple of signs on a wall in Cricklade High Street, one slightly more informative than the other
