Mayfield Village Sign

Mayfield is, apparently, famous for the legend of St. Dunstan. A blacksmith was visited by the devil disguised as a beautiful woman, intending to lead him astray, but the blacksmith spotted the cloven hoofs and grabbed his nose with a pair of red-hot pincers.

Autumn colours, Turnham Green

A beautiful, mild autumn day in West London (and elsewhere too, I hope).

In Triangles (heavy edit)

Strolling along the Thames Path from Bourne End, I spotted the warning triangle on the river bank with the house behind. Unfortunately, they don't quite line up and I've attempted to bring out the colours in Photoshop Elements (with fairly bizarre results, it would seem).

Looking more like an idyllic rural backwater than a London suburb, this is the view from the Thames Path on the south bank of the river

Stacked up in an arch under Richmond Bridge and used by one of the kayak hire outfits, I seem to remember (or it could be the canoe club based pretty much adjacent)

The Seaford beach huts are simple buildings, without the extravagances sometimes seen.
Seaford Huts

Multicoloured beach huts along the esplanade in Seaford (and looking like they will sell for a more reasonable amount than some on the South Coast!).
I've pumped up the colour contrast a little for added effect (and because I'm easily impressed by that sort of thing)

A former warehouse and dock on the Grand Union Canal (and also part of the Capital Ring walk)
Brentford roofline

Looking across the rooftops of Brentford from one of the old bridges - a former railway bridge which used to provide access to a rail yard for trans-shipments between rail & canal

Wasn't expecting the industrial history of the Brentford end of the Grand Union Canal.
