Comp Lane

Comp Lane (also known as the old coach road) runs along the foot of the Downs between Firle & Alfriston.
Heavy showers over previous days had left many puddles (and rendered a small section virtually impassable).

A close-up of one of the illustrations. There is a website dedicated to Eric Ravilious , although it doesn't seem to be sufficiently up-to-date to accommodate the Get Bus(y) bus.

An artistic (though not quite geographically accurate, it seems to me) map of the Sussex Downs covers the ceilings

Flora and fauna of the Downs is displayed on the bus, although this one seems to have been slightly vandalised
Chalkhill Butterfly

According to UK butterflies , the Chalk Hill Blue is found on chalk downland.
You can see the wood-effect flooring here

The third of the Get Bus(y) buses - not sure about that comma: looks out of place to me.
Apparently not, though, as further research has revealed.

The parking post doesn't add a great deal to the photo, but there was a taxi anxious to get on to the rank (and, by the look of the driver, not averse to making a mess of the picture).
Anyway, you can clearly see the multi-coloured lighting inside brightening up a dreary scene outside Hove Station.
