Im Bild die auffällig gefärbten Herbstblätter von Acer freemanii , einer natürlich vorkommenden Ahornhybride, die aus einer Kreuzung zwischen Acer rubrum (Rot-Ahorn) und Acer saccharinum (Silber-Ahorn) entstanden ist. Wilde Exemplare finden sich im östlichen Nordamerika, wo sich die Elternarten überlappen. Die Art ist nach Oliver M. Freeman vom U.S. National Arboretum benannt, der 1933 A. rubrum mit A. saccharinum hybridisierte. Das Herbstlaub ist auffallend orange-rot. Es gibt viele im Handel erhältliche Sorten, die häufig als Straßenbaum verwendet werden. Diese Pilzwinzlinge fand ich in einer nebelnassen Wiese und konnte sie im Gegenlicht fotografieren. Diese zierliche Pilzart ist mir unbekannt, vielleicht kann mir jemand den Namen nennen? Die Herbstwetter ist zur Zeit kühl und feucht, beste Voraussetzungen für das Wachstum der Pilze. Im Bild eine Gruppe von Helmlingen (Mycena), wachsend auf einem verrottenden Baumstumpf. Vor einigen Jahren wanderten meine Frau und ich auf dem Malerweg in der Sächsischen Schweiz. Eine Etappe führte auch zur Felsenburg Neurathen. Von dort hat man einen wunderschönen zur 1851 erbauten Basteibrücke. Dieses touristische Highlight hat nur einen Nachteil: Es ist in der Hauptreisezeit stark frequentiert. Leider ist die oben rechts zu sehende Bastei-Aussicht aus Sicherheitsgründen für Besucher gesperrt! Eine der "klassischen" Ansichten von der Alten Mainbrücke (jetzt Willigisbrücke) auf die Stadt Aschaffenburg mit dem schönen Renaissance-Schloss Johannisburg , das im 17. Jahrhundert erbaut und Ende des 2. Weltkrieges fast total zerstört wurde. Aus meiner Kindheit kannte ich noch die Ruine, von der damals viele sagten, sie könne nie mehr aufgebaut werden. In der Folgezeit investierte der Bayerische Staat enorme Geldmittel in den Aufbau und 1964 konnte das Schloss wieder eröffnet werden. Eine Besichtigung dieses bedeutenden Renaissance-Schlosses lohnt sich! Auf den Wiesen im Bild, die in meiner Kindheit baumlos waren, haben wir als Jugendliche sehr häufig Fußball gespielt. Der Lichtenhainer Wasserfall in der Nähe von Bad Schandau ist eine der Hauptattraktionen der Sächsischen Schweiz. Der ursprünglich kleine Wasserfall des Lichtenhainer Dorfbachs wurde 1830 zur Steigerung seiner touristischen Attraktivität über einen kurzen Hangkanal etwas erhöht und zum anderen durch ein aufziehbares Stauwehr mit schwallartigem Abfluss ergänzt. Einem Lichtenhainer Bürger wurde das verpachtbare Amt des „Wasserfallziehers“ übertragen. Seither wird jede halbe Stunde am Wehr gezogen. Unter musikalischer Untermalung lässt der „Wasserfallzieher“ das Wasser sturzbachartig den Felsen hinuntergießen. Gestern kam ich bei Sonnenuntergang an einer Pferdekoppel vorbei und konnte beobachten, wie ein Kraftprotz von Pferd beim Zurückführen in die Nachtkoppel mit einem kraftvollen Galopp ausriss und auf dem sandigen Boden viel Staub aufwirbelte. Es war offensichtlich mehr am Fotografen interessiert als an der Abendruhe. Bei warmem Gegenlicht der untergehenden Sonnen entstand dieses Bild. Yesterday I passed by a paddock at sunset and could observe a horse bursting with strength being led back into the night paddock. Suddenly it ran away with a powerful gallop and ran towards me. It whirled up a lot of dust on the sandy ground. The horse was obviously more interested in the photographer than in the evening rest.
