You don't need the sun in a sunflower photo, there are plenty of suns already:-) Overcast skies seem to make them shine, beautiful!

Yes definitely a sight that always brings a smile! Van Gogh's paintings must have made him happy for a while! This is a stunning shot Keith, and it's nice to see them as the star of the picture with the beautiful rolling hills as a backdrop.

Always good to see sunflowers Keith. For so long, my favourite of all flowers. I have not seen any in fields this year so far and in fact saw my first one in a garden yesterday. Anyway the flowers balance the far landscape perfectly here completing that nice mix of greens and yellows. Well done.

I think the sunflowers in my part of the country flowered quite late this year and they were not as tall either.

That's a great shot Keith,.. a nice sweeping line into the picture and good focus from the flowers to the distance - no doubt helped by your choice of f/11... // A fine all round picture // Dj.
