Beachcombing
Camas Ba'n and the beach at Little Ganavan, Oban.
As the tide receded a number of people arrived and spent ages walking the water line, occasional picking and inspecting what they had picked up, most were rejected and returned to the beach,
Sorry I have no idea what they were looking for and they were not keen to tell!
Land on the left is Maiden Isle, Beyond that is the Isle of Mull, on the right is the Isle of Lismore and the Ardnamurchan Peninsula,
Wish you all a good week! and a large view if possible please!
Kilmartin Burn,
The burn and rural scene below Carnasserie Castle, Kilmartin,
Burn is a Scottish word for stream generally of spring water
The burn joins to the River Add and it flows onwards to sea via Loch Crinan!

Scheduled monument!
Trumpan, Waternish,Isle of Skye,
Trumpan Church is a ruined medieval church located on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. In 1578, the church was the site of a brutal massacre of the Clan MacLeod by Clan Macdonald, (also known as Clan Ranald) of South Uist. The attack was in retaliation for the massacre of hundreds of members of Clan Macdonald on the island of Eigg the previous year. The church and surrounding graveyard contain late medieval carved gravestones. (wikipedia)
In its early says it was known as (St Conan’s Church). www.visit-waternish.co.uk/listings/trumpan

To Kintyre!
Looking towards Loch Gilp and Kintyre, from the village of Ford,
Fence is sadly partially hidden
Ford is a small village at the southern end of Loch Awe in Argyll, Scotland. The village originated as a stopping point on the drove route to Inveraray.
Large for clarity as always!

North Coast 500!
We often refer to the North Coast 500 road around the top of Scotland, this shows a small section of the A838, looking west towards Durness with the pointed Cranstackie peak which forms a part of the "Beinn Spionnaidh" mountain group and a corner of Loch Eribol,
Captured on a cloudy and slightly misty day from just above "Ard Neakie"
A large view may help with clarity!
Tides Out!
A slightly wonky bench at Drumburn Viewpoint, on the River Nith Estuary and the Solway Firth, at low tide,
The Solway Firth is an inlet on the west coast of Great Britain, forming part of the border between England and Scotland. The firth divides Cumbria (in England) from Dumfries and Galloway.(Scotland) The Isle of Man is also very near to the firth. The firth comprises part of the Irish Sea.(wikipedia)
The land in the far distance is Cumbria, in England!
Shot in 16.9 format, therefore a large view if you please! ,,,,,, HBM and a good week!
Small Fence, Big Landscape!
Short on time and fences this week!
An image from Glencoe looking towards Kings House and Rannoch Moor,
The road on the left is the main A82 trunk from Glasgow to Inverness via Fort William, while the mountains in the far distance are part of the Cairngorms range!
Image is in 16.9 format therefore a large view would be appreciated!
Sea Loch!
At the very top of the UK mainland and another squall approaches across the loch, the wall has not fared well, time and the the Scottish weather have taken their toll, however the wild flowers will be pleased with a refresher.
This is Ard Neackie which is a small scenic peninsula on the east side of Loch Eriboll joined to the mainland by a narrow isthmus and has an interesting history of lime quarrying (from the outcropping Durness Limestone), From scotland-landscapes.com
Another scene from the North Coast 500 route that runs around the top of Scotland it starts and finishes in Inverness
HWW to all, and a large view if possible!
