The aproach of Autumn!
Signs of autumns impending arrival on the somerset levels, Blackberries are ripening, grasses and trees start to turn colour on this breezy and changeable weather day,
Buildings on the left are a part of the Duck one of the levels rural pubs, this was once the Railway Inn at Edington Junction on the Somerset and Dorset Railway! The Bridgwater branch closed to passengers in 1952
Clarity will be much improved in a large view, thank you and HFF to all!
Loch Wall,
A kind of sea wall as this supports the A838 road and the causeway across the Kyle of Tongue, A sea loch in Sutherland at the very top of Scotland! The water to the right is open to the Atlantic ocean tides and elements!
It is also a part of the North Coast 500 road around the top of the country!
HWW!
View from a Bench
As promised a view of the Ayrshire coast from adjacent to today's Bench!
In 16.9 therefor a large view is rewarding !
A castle Viewpoint.
A great view along the Ayrshire coast and of Dunure Castle ruins, from this bench perched on top of the cliffs!
An image of the view will be posted later!
The Levels. (North)
A Sluice gate which controls a rhyne at its junction with the North Drain,
This is at the northern extreme of the Somerset Levels and Moors which have long been shaped both by human history and natural processes, they have an area of about 160,000 acres (650 km2)
They consist 0f a flat landscape extending across parts of the north and centre of the historical county of Somerset,,,,, Rhyne is a somerset spelling !!

Inner Harbour.
Nice reflections from both boats and the wall, Wick Inner harbour, Caithness!
Both boats are registered to Wick WK 838 is Ma-Rhona, and WK 869 is Marea B III
HWW to all! , and a large view perhaps!
A seat for the Sunset.
Brean Down across the bay from the Prince Consort Gardens,Weston Super Mare, on a chilly spring evening,
No takers for the many benches as the incoming tide brought a stiff breeze blowing in off of the Bristol Channel,
HBM and a good week to all!
Storms and Sunset!
A stormy evening with the sunset reflecting back from the dark clouds overhead,
The cattle have seen it all before so no need to stop grazing!
Another image from the North Coast 500 around the top of the country
HFF and a good weekend, to all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Large view if possible please!
Wall and Rabbits
A view of the point where the Kyle of Tongue ( a shallow sea loch) meets Tongue Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, Just offshore the uninhabited Rabbit Islands (except for the rabbits of course)
The area was a historic crossroads for Gaels, Picts and Vikings and the area is named after an Old Norse term which refers to a piece of land shaped like a spit or tongue. That tongue of land projecting into the Kyle is the terminal moraine of the Kyle of Tongue glacier, (https://discoverhighlandsandislands.scot)
HWW,,,,,,,The image is in 16.9 format therefore a large view is recommended!
