Nice to see the old clothespins. Reminds me of my distant childhood, and the days when all the laundry was hung out, and nobody thought anything of it. A younger neighbor mentioned that she'd really like to hang her clothes out, as it makes them fresher and doesn't use the energy of a dryer. Our homeowner's association would take a dim view of that, I'm afraid. In fact, I can't recall seeing anyone hang laundry out anywhere in town.

See what your picture can bring to mind? Nothing about forms, colors, textures. Just nostalgia.

The demonization of clotheslines has bothered me, too, Bob. You'd think that would be the green option, eh? Maybe we could become clothesline evangelists.

Thanks, Leon. This camera had some particularly tough aspects to it (although my current one has more).

LOVE this clothespin shot. I haven't seen any for ages.

Thanks, Diane. The vicious suppression of open-air drying is to blame, I fear.

John FitzGerald club has replied to Ulrich Dinges
I haven't seen any of the old one-piece pegs lately, either, Ulrich, I think my apartment building bans drying clothes on the balcony, but there are ways around that.
