Notice also the men standing along the walk. As happens throughout much of Mexico, there’s men (and sometimes women) outside the store who are constantly approaching you about using their business. Being someone who is in the habit of looking people in the eye, it’s always frustrating for me to have to quickly adapt an approach of not looking.
