Wessex (National Express contractor) 206 (CIW 9721 ex CDG 206Y) and Yelloway-Trathen A313 XHE at Peterborough - 22 Oct 1989 (104-13)
Sunday 22 October 1989 – National Express services seen in Peterborough bus station on a rather damp morning.

Nearest the camera is Wessex of Bristol 206 (CIW 9721) working the 0825 service 351 from Sheffield to Cambridge (arrival 1240). After a two hour break the same driver would then work the 1440 service 747 from Cambridge to Bristol (due 2050) with this coach. The previous day it worked Bristol-Cambridge/Cambridge-Sheffield on the same services.

It is a Plaxton Paramount 3200 bodied Leyland Tiger TRCTL11/3R new to National Travel (West) Limited in April 1983 as 206 (CDG 206Y). I had had a ride out today travelling from Cambridge to Grantham on a Scottish Citylink coach working the Edinburgh service 377 (then joint with National Express) returning to Cambridge on this coach.

In the background is Yelloway-Trathen Express Limited A313 XHE taking a lunch break when working the 0815 Birmingham to Great Yarmouth National Express service 308. The service was scheduled here between 1105 and 1155.
