Cumberland 643 (WAO 643) at Peterborough – 22 Oct 1989 (104-15)

Sunday 22 October 1989 – This was the last Sunday of the Summer 1989 National Express schedules and, as it transpired, the last week of operation by Cumberland Motor Services Limited on National Express service 351 from Cambridge to Whitehaven. Schedule changes from the following Sunday (29 October) resulted in this trip becoming service 350 operating as far as Manchester then continuing to Liverpool rather than Whitehaven.

Cumberland 643 (WAO 643), an Alexander TE bodied Leyland Tiger new in March 1983, was seen at Peterborough when working the 1040 National Express service 351 from Cambridge to Whitehaven (due there at 2150).
