Stagecoach Cambus 619 (P819 GMU) and 626 (P826 GMU) in Cambridge – 6 Aug 2001 (475-01)

Stagecoach Cambus 619 (P819 GMU) and 626 (P826 GMU) in Cambridge – 6 Aug 2001 (475-01)
Monday 6 August 2001 (approx. 1200) – The large bus groups like Stagecoach, which undertake Transport for London contracts, are able to cascade London based vehicles to their provincial subsidiaries once certain age limits are reached or contracts end.

Two such Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympians are seen here working for Stagecoach Cambus in Drummer Street bus station, Cambridge.

That on the right is 626 (P826 GMU) which still wore the London red livery. The bus on the left is 619 (P819 GMU) which wears an all over advertising livery for a recruitment company.

They were both new in September 1996 to Stagecoach East London as their VN26 and VN19 respectively.
