Tôt le matin, sur le "Normandie", les côtes anglaises apparaissent. Le "Normandie" est l'un des deux ferries faisant la liaison Caen/Ouistreham - Portsmouth (l'autre étant le "Mont Saint Michel").

THE PROMISE OF A BEAUTIFUL DAY. Early in the morning on the "Normandie", the English coast appears. The "Normandie" is one of two ferries on the Caen/Ouistreham - Portsmouth route (the other being the "Mont Saint Michel").

DAS VERSPRECHEN EINES SCHÖNEN TAGES. Am frühen Morgen, auf der "Normandie", taucht die englische Küste auf. Die "Normandie" ist eine der beiden Fähren, die zwischen Caen/Ouistreham und Portsmouth verkehren (die andere ist die "Mont Saint Michel").

Wunderschöne stimmung. Ich fand es auch immer sehr spannend, wenn man vom schiff ausschau nach der englischen küste gehalten hat...und sie dann endlich aufgetaucht und näher und näher gerückt ist.

Danke Percy, die Überfahrt auf so einer Riesenfähre ist tatsächlich ein Erlebnis. Die Nacht-Überfahrt dauert 8 ¾ Stunden. Der schönste Augenblick ist frühmorgens, wenn man die englische Küste auftauchen sieht. Einen angenehmen Sonntag.

I have used this route several times in the past, especially when I used to visit Rennes, and it is always nice to arrive in Portsmouth in the morning!!
