Cycling from Bordeaux Vineyards to the Atlantic Coast /Bordeaux

Cycling from Bordeaux Vineyards to the Atlantic Coast /Bordeaux
From a distance we can already see the Pont de pierre (Bordeaux)

The oldest "stone bridge" over the Garonne in Bordeaux. Planned around 1810, when Napoleon ruled. In the years 1819 to 1821 the construction took place with very difficult current conditions.
The name "Napoléon Bonaparte" consists of 17 letters and the bridge has just as many arches.
Until the construction of the Pont Saint-Jean in 1965, the Pont de Pierre was the only road bridge over the Garonne in Bordeaux.

Jenny McIntyre, kiiti, Ernest CH, Marco F. Delminho and 24 other people have particularly liked this photo
