Cycling from Bordeaux Vineyards to the Atlantic Coast /Bordeaux

The Garonne a river in southwestern France. The river served in ancient Aquitaine to separate Aquitaine from the rest of Gaul, it also forms the northern boundary of the historic landscape of Gascony.

The 647 km long river rises in the Catalan Pyrenees, flows through Toulouse to Bordeaux, where it joins the Dordogne to the estuary ("estuary exposed to the tide" or "bay") Gironde flows into the Atlantic Ocean.
