Cycling from Bordeaux Vineyards to the Atlantic Coast /Bordeaux

Cycling from Bordeaux Vineyards to the Atlantic Coast /Bordeaux
View from the promenade to the Old Town, in the background the
Basilica Saint-Michel.
75 metres long and 38 metres wide, the Basilica is one of the largest churches in Bordeaux after the Cathedral of Bordeaux. Built mostly in the 14th and 15th centuries.
The basilica also has a 114 metre high bell tower, which is also called "flèche" or "arrow" due to its striking shape, making the basilica the highest building in Bordeaux for a long time.
It belongs to the Archdiocese of Bordeaux and is dedicated to the Archangel Michael. It is considered a station on the Via Turonensis Way of St James and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998.

Ich war vor vielen, vielen Jahren in Bordeaux. Ich glaube, ich bin diese Promenade entlang gelaufen, da sie mir sehr bekannt vorkommt. Fabelhaftes Foto, Aschi.
