Sunset from Carradale
Looking east from the village towards the Isle of Arran. The sun is setting behind me to my left, warming the hills and valleys of this Island. We can see the islands highest mountain ‘Goatfell’ at 874 metres with its daily hat of mist. It is in fact a Scottish ‘Corbett’ as it over 762m and under 914m. For most of our seven days here we could never see this mountain for low cloud. The far village is, I think 'Catacol' with the nearby bigger village 'Lochranza' just hidden further to its left.

Love everything about this Image Herb lovely composition keeping the tree in the shot frames it and perfect balanced beautiful Image. This brings back memories from a long time ogo when I was on top of Goatfell another ⭐.

This is a beautifully understated sunset Herb................the light is really lovely especially where it hits the distant bit of coastline and the surface of the water. An interesting foreground too and I like the tree branches arching over the land.

Like Toz, I have memories of being on top of Goatfell...........a great many years ago :-)

It seems like a lot of folk have followed Toz's footsteps Keith. We had a week on Arran a few years back but never got to the top of Goatfell, instead following the Glen Sannox route. Glad you enjoyed the light on here as well as my presentation.
