HBM ~ The seat of Keil

Another bench on the coast, taken on our recent trip to Scotland. We are here in the tiny hamlet of Keil on the very tip of the Mull of Kintyre. In the distance looking south east, we can see ‘Sanda Island’ with its smaller partner ‘Sheep Island’. In the far distance is the feint but very distinctive pudding shape of ‘Ailsa Craig’, an Island I once visited on my very first trip to Scotland about 50 years ago.

What a spectacular view...........but why is the bench facing in the opposite direction?

A really attractive foreground with lush green grass and gorse bushes. The light is lovely and the islands look very attractive on the horizon.

Thanks Colin. A long time ago. There were a few of us on that sailing (about 10) - maybe a private boat trip but it was no big secret. We just had a walk around on the old stony beach for a while, seeing the granite left-overs for use of the curling stones before going back after an hour at the most. I was with my brother. I know it is pretty well secluded nowadays.
