An outstanding shot! Great composition and superb reflections and with a beautiful ambience.

I especially like the light and the way the water and horizon blend almost seamlessly into each other. The lighthouse looks lovely and I really like the understated colour palette!

Always good to read you appraisals of these photo spots Keith. A fine view from here and you will see another on Friday. The day on which we actually got to the Island was in fact terrible but... that is how things go. Good that you enjoyed my take of this view too.

Wow! that is history talking! I know our navy was very active on the west coast with all kinds of activates, not least practising for the D-day landings. Great that you enjoyed this and it brought back memories Richard.

There was a big NATO refuelling base at Campbelltown, not sure if its still there, but it used to get a lot of trade from sweepers, patrol boats and submarines. Not too far away was a degaussing range where they used to allegedly make sure steel hulled ships would'nt set off magnetic mines. I say allegedly as one of the ship I was on was steel hulled and it failed every time -it was a minesweeper too, which wasn't good!!!!
