HFF…. Will wars never end?

A memorial to the fallen of the Great War of 1914-1919 here in the peaceful coastal village of Lochinver in Scotland.
Sadly for the population in and around The Ukraine, it seems that wars will never end.
The preceding photo shows the main front of Lochinver, this memorial just to the right.

Enjoy this in peace, so far away from our Ukrainian neighbours this weekend and spare them a thought in their hour of need! Have a peaceful weekend. Herb

We feel for the Ukrainians so much Herb. The news doesn't get any better :-(
A beautiful tribute from you. Wishing you a good and peaceful weekend. Rosa.

Thanks for the words, Herb. Have a fine weekend despite the war and lets keep those brave people in our minds. That may be not enough, however, that's all we can do.

A cry for help via our church this morning. At least it seems that we will give shelter to more from the Ukraine now. A real consideration to open our own doors but that takes real strength of character.

Have a good week in peace Rosa. Belated HFF too. Herb

Hello Lutz. if only words were matched by real deeds. At least we are being more generous to the refugees now (historically a thing we have always been proud of). I think we will soon be seeing more Ukrainians in Oldham, a town that has welcomed and housed peoples from there before.
Hopefully a stop to the killing and maiming of that country will soon come but I doubt it.

Keep safe. Herb
