Die Bearbeitung gefällt mir sehr gut. Ja, wenn man die Farben sieht (und auf mich wirken sie chaotisch) muß ich an die Ukraine denken.

Hi Gordon, glad you like this bit of art. I used to do quite a bit of experimenting before the novelty wore off. I think I used a variety of techniques.

As Jaap say, it looks like a painting. It could be interpreted both ways I guess Herb. I will think of it as a view of our summers and hope for clear blue skies over Ukraine.
I have been to Shepton Mallet today and I passed two pubs and a house with large Ukranian flags flying, and church gates had their colours in hearts. It looked amazing.

The original photo was a lovely contre-jour but I wanted to do something different with it. Yes, memories of a summer gone now, for me. I really hope that it does not all end up this way for Ukraine but much of the countryside has already fallen like this.
It would be very moving for me to witness those flags you saw at Shepton Mallet.

I just love an arty sky. We see all the colours over the years. It thought it was Marsden Moor on fire again! We don’t have to look very far to get an impression of destruction. Locally it’s just stupidity (setting fires for what ever reason) rather than insanity that is destroying places and killing people like in Ukraine.

Ah yes, the moors on fire! A scary thought too, as I passed dry brush during our Saddleworth moors walk the other day. When I see the amount of wanton rubbish shrewd along the country paths, then lighting fires for a bit of fun goes hand in hand unfortunately. ....But... that all falls into insignificance when compared to bomb and missile attacks going on in the countryside and cities of Ukraine by that madman in Russia.

I don't know what you did in post processing, but it's turned out very painterly and pretty amazing!

Hi Christa. As a dabbler in real paintings too, I think I would find it difficult to create such a scene in paints no matter water, oil or acrylics - maybe I should play with spray paints :)
