HFF…. A Wessenden Reservoir walk

We are here at Marsden in Yorkshire again after a gap of two years or more. This is the third one up from the village of four reservoirs. I do hope you like the fence post minus the wire leading our eye to the walkers in the distance.

Enjoy this in peace, so far away from our Ukrainian neighbours this weekend and spare them a thought in their hour of need! Herb

A path and adventure in the waiting for you Gordon. If you do come this way then you must do the bit of can to the Standedge tunnel too -not far from the base of these.

Its typical of the scenery around here. Treeless moorland with many reservoirs but they nearly all have public pathways around them or part of them so lovely walks. We pray for peace too.

Ah yes, I know only too well as health issues are on the horizon for me. Besides, with the troubles in the East we all feel an amount of real danger. You like me, will feel like we have at least lived with much peace and happiness.

Steve, as I grow older and still explore these moorland valleys my appreciation for them grows. As said to Lothar, we never know what is around the corner for us. Ukraine is a real worry here.

Thanks Carol. Yes some people will like one over the other here. A great walk and explore of around seven miles for all four reservoirs but we only did 5.2m this time.

You are right Keith. We have been waiting for a sunny weather half day to do this for nearly six months now! Glad you like the composition and lighting. Yes, the blue sky is very rare for us here at the moment but today has been even better as I sit at the computer.
