Dark days for Europe

Dark days for Europe
A broody image taken yesterday at my own Dovestone reservoir walking area in the rain. This image reflects my feelings regarding Russian missiles raining down on Kyiv over the last 24 hours.

At least yesterday the sun came out soon after this. I don't think it will be so quick for Ukraine.

Marco F. Delminho, ColRam, Annemarie, tiabunna and 8 other people have particularly liked this photo

My thoughts are with the innocent victims and the Ukrainian people.

A somewhat melancholy image Herb.............which obvious reflects your current mood. I can understand that of course.

Notwithstanding that, it's very well composed and very atmospheric.

Yes, it all gets a bit depressive Keith. At least we are safe here in Britain. Must be terrible for those people of Ukraine though.

Glad you liked this image all the same and I hope to get back on a cheerier note tomorrow. Herb

Very depressing times and I can’t agree about feeling safe, I have too lively an imagination and have watched too many movies. We enjoyed a walk at Dovestone last week.It is a very impressive place.

Unfortunately Doug, I too have seen and read too many films/books about the start of the next final conflict too. Does not need much imagination. Lets hope it never gets that far. H

That's OK in song and theory David. You tell that to a cruise missile coming your way! Ukraine can soon have peace as long as they surrender their real freedom to tyrants.

We here on Ipernity will continue to snap our countryside, villages and flowers no doubt as this all continues.

Keep well and cheerful my friend. Herb
