HBM A place in the sun

Taken outside the little church of Parroquia De Santa Ana in the small village of Altea Le Vella on the Costa Blanca in Spain. This gentleman told me he had come to sit on here every day for the past forty years. We sat bsides him as we ate our picnic.
Snapped in 2018 when the world seemed a more restful place. Best viewed full size.

A charming candid shot Herb............beautifully composed in lovely sunshine and with some nice shadows. I also like the old wall lamp, which is very attractive and the shuttered window.

I don't know what the coloured streamers are for, but they provide a nice bit of colour.

A few nice ingredients here for you Keith. I did in fact take a much better close-up portrait of this chap. Like you I enjoyed the lines and windows too. The whole village had these streamers up -some kind of religious celebration which I forgot which now.

Haha, well his English was a bit broken and these things cannot always be taken literally. There were the more traditional wooden benches to the sides too, where we originally saw him before returning for picnic here. Glad you liked it Peter. Saw a very interesting doc re the Harz railway last night showing all info that most train docs don't. (Secrets of the Railways- Yesterday)
