High Power Mk1

High Power Mk1
A rectangular patterned version of the adjacent mono one here. (Both being the same shot in reality.) I know some of my viewers will have a preference as to which one is better and why, but we are all different as is the way we see the world. Feel free to comment on each photo:) Enjoy

Ah Lothar - I really did wonder which of these formats would win out. If it turns out to be this one, I shall re-edit the monochrome portrait to a square too. Thanks for your visit again and also your considered reply. Danger - the only danger was of me getting frost-bite in the freezing cold wind. Maybe my fully extended tripod on a very wet day might have told a different story though :)

OK -since both you and Lothar (esteemed photographers) have a preference for this format, I have now made this fully public so my viewers can check-out each one (if any) as they choose.
great that you enjoyed them and my cold fingers were not wasted here.

Thanks Eva. They are both the same photo in essence. Just a photographers delight in portrayal that makes the difference.

I prefer this one I think the square makes a better composition and the blue/grey sky shows off the pylon better, I hope you camera has a fully articulated screen it's to wet for lying on your back in a field !!

Glad you likes at least one of them Peter. Both do me fine in reality. No my Nikon D7100 is a standard DSLR with the fixed LCD. I did in fact place it on my tripod, where I wanted to take a very slow exposure but I had to twist my body in such a way that my knee invariably went on the wet damp grass for long periods. Although I took a few that way, I could never get the positioning perfect and in the end just gave all that up and took multiple sets of 3's for hdr hand held to my eye. Better a Summer job maybe. I would never have thought of this Herb, but it's a great shot. I like them both. They looks better from that angle than any other ;-)) Cheers, Rosa.

Good that you have enjoyed these Rosa. I presume you mean that this low central view is better than the more usual distant views?

Yes that is what I mean Herb. I know they are necessary, but they do spoil the countryside I think.

I really like both of these shots Herb..........for the sharpness and detail and, of course, the symmetry, especially the central star shape.

Top notch work sir! 1010
