Grey Heron on Braemar Duckpond

This was a surprisingly big pond Joe. We spotted the heron and was happily snapping (and my wife videoing) it when we also spied a deer on the other edge of the pond too. Glad you liked it.

nicely captured out in the wild.

Although this was very wild looking this way, behind me was a small road and a few residential houses with children playing too. We paint the picture as we want with our lenses perhaps.

We have these birds in North America. I love to watch them, particularly when they are hunting.

Always good to see them. Normally stood statue still for hours waiting for the fish nearby. Thanks for the call.

Ah yes Poly, I see that sometimes too -lots of people uploading similar photos -especially of flowers, of that season. It is sheer co-incidence for me with this but perhaps it is the time at the moment for more members to be walking in the countryside and seeing these majestic creatures. Glad you liked it. ~ Herb
