A wonderful day with lots of gorgeous scenes here to capture my friend. The water reflections were something else and so I have more to share yet. Always very happy when you enjoy these with me.

Hi Toz, I'm very happy that you are enjoying my Autumn in the Dales. Yes, we stayed in a cottage in the village of Embsay -not far from the station. We were there five days in that wonderful Autumn weather so lots of photographs, as I thought there would be. I know that you know this river well too Toz but I cannot recall seeing any Strid Woods shots. So I await yours too :)

Thanks again David. A great place to explore, I reckon just out of the comfort zone of travel from your home for a quick trip and explore. I guess the trees are still gold today too. This stream here, is the MIGHTY River Wharfe, I may inform you Sir -don't let it hear you calling it a stream :~) It's exhausted after being channelled through the very narrow Strid. Joking apart, very happy that you have enjoyed this my friend.

Gotcha'.. thanks Herb'.. I have heard good reports of Bolton Abbey and 'Strid wood' too....from folks during our caravan club days. In order to visit now'..we would probably do a 3 or 4 day mini break in order to explore fully.

A stunning set of shots Herb you can almost smell the autumn from here.

Yep, was a great walk on that day through this steep wooded valley with as you say the inherent smells of leaves on the ground.
