Hi Amelia, always good to see you here. My first time competing in the SPC, although I have voted before. Normally holidays and trips make these competitions awkward for me. I could see that you had voted for me here, thank you, and I wondered which ones might have been yours but could not guess. I do like the two winners which I also voted for. Glad you like this one.

Thanks Rosa, of course it is a very personal thing to choose which photo we like best. We both know how it is to choose which to add here on Ipernity. I have thousands of pictures and so it is very difficult indeed. As y will see this was taken at the same time of year as now. Of course very happy that you like this one. Thanks for this visit Andy. Very happy that you like them both and I must admit that this is my favourite too. The SPC (Secret Photographer Challenge) is one of those photographic competitions carried over from Panoramio and led by lots of the same people. It's a fun game where each month a competitor can put in up to three photos of a particular subject, picked by the last months winner. In order to keep the photographer secret, there are certain rules applied, in particular you cannot have the photos already in Ipernity, you must send them to a specific email address as a small attachment. All the rules are here: www.ipernity.com/group/2249054/discuss/190840 The SPC is quite lonely at the moment as like you, most Ipernity members are unaware of it. Would be great to see you there my friend.

I'm deeply enjoying this vision of yours in both version !
Perhaps as a consequence of my character ;-) I was at first and still I am wholly enchanted by the b&w version with it soft , and at the same time , emotionally dramatic contrasts. I feel like
being , just beyond the tree on the first ground , wholly immersed in this vision of Lake of Ennerdale Water...


Certainly William Wordsworth and S.T. Coleridge would have found some much more poetic verse to appreciate your own image .. But , I'm only Bea:-)
