South Stack, light.

South Stack, light.
Another of Britain's iconic coastal scenes. This is on the far west coast of Anglesey, Wales.

Taken during a visit in 2015 and posted now after a realisation that I had not shared these scenes with you my Ipernity viewers. Enjoy full screen.

Hi again George. Yes, unfortunately, since 1998 every one of Britain's lighthouses is automated now. In fact many of the lighthouses are now being de-commissioned partially because of GPS making all shipping more aware of land and rocks around them. A great pity as they were a great part of our history. Fortunately most of them still stand either forlorn or as converted residences/museums etc, as this is.

Best Wishes, Herb
