Rettungsring - Life ring

Im Bild der kleine See am Fuß des Viktoria-Wasserfalls in Berlin-Kreuzberg, an dessen Ufer seit 1896 die Bronzeskulptur "Der seltene Fang" von Ernst Herter steht; ihr Motiv: eine Nixe hat sich im Netz eines Fischers verfangen. Ein Witzbold hat dem Fischer einen Rettungsring umgehängt, sicher ganz hilfreich, wenn einmal ein Badeunfall vorkommt ;)

The picture shows the small lake at the foot of the Viktoria Waterfall in Berlin-Kreuzberg, on the banks of which the bronze sculpture "Der seltene Fang" (The Rare Catch) by Ernst Herter has been standing since 1896. A joker has put a life-ring around the fisherman's neck, which is certainly very helpful in the event of a swimming accident ;)
