The West Infants school, St.Andrews
I attended this school from the ages of 4 - 6 years of age. My teacher was Miss Brown and she taught me how to write (on a slate), do simple arithmetic, and also how to knit.
It is now a job centre I think.

I also remember slates from my early years and inkwells in the tables.
The playground was huge in those days, or so I thought. ;-)
Since last weeks' Sunday challenge, I have been encouraged to do art again, and this morning I've spent a relaxed 2 hours in our local art group with a pencil and a paintbrush in my hand - after 22 years!
