Braidwood Hotel
We're heading away interstate for a while and, for a time, my visits will be "occasional". On our way, we shall pass the Braidwood Hotel, carefully restored as nearly as possible to its original 1850 form (shingle roof and all). HFF, everyone.

Many thanks indeed for all your kind wishes and comments. We have had a good run across to Sth Australia, but internet time is very limited, so please excuse me if I don't get back to you for a while. This hotel is now owned by an architect who has made it his passion to make it as original as possible (including the colour). That even involved replacing much larger ornate verandahs installed late in the 1800s with the earlier style you see here.
