I saw this on TV, a lady with spectacles interviewed. I noticed she had no steamy spectacles. So, put it into test today. The mask may "leak" more from the sides, but that also help the air escape from sides instead of next to nose. And therefore less need to touch face to wipe the glasses every now and then.

Nice idea! But here the experts have advised against crossing the bands because the tightness of the mask decreases quite much.

No, I didn't. And I do not know whether I can judge this objectively. The experts' statements are based on measurements. :)

Yes, you are right. So, may not work for majority. But experts here say it does not at least increase the risk to get infection.

When done this way, the air goes more freely from sides, and it actually makes the use more comfortable. But again, based only on my experience.

If the mask gets too tight, it is then merely an issue of having too short ties (rubber bands).

Better option could be then to find such masks where one can adjust the ties:
