My favorite forest

For '10-Week Picture Projects: Trees', I picked this one to represent forest. I first had great difficulties to choose what kind of trees would form my favorite forest, but then I realized it is of course pines that are closest to my heart. I love their smell and the light filtered through their canopy.

I recall seeing pictures very unhealthy pine forests in Germany, several decades ago, but I guess, and hope industrial regulations have now chanced that, and forests are healing =)
