Oh just look at those colours. Rosa, this is beautiful. The cottage with the old stone bench is a dream and I love the PiP with a view of the lake through the window. We will get back there one day. Your photos of Stour Head always please me and make me want to go back and this is the perfect time of year for a visit with the changing colours.

Such a gorgeous collage and PiP...............the cottage is just delightful and I love the autumn colours that are developing in the surrounding trees. I especially like the view through the window (in the PIP)..!!

As in my reply to Carol, I can never resist another picture of the Gothic Cottage! I managed a shot of the seat by the window with no one sitting on it this time though, and it was even empty inside for once ;-)) I'm sure there will be many more visits before Christmas (sorry to mention it) from me, so I hope it does keep on giving!

Fabulous photos! On both of my visits to Stourhead I found it hard to get a decent shot of this cottage, yours are much better.

Thank you Gudrun. I have taken so many photos of the cottage over the years. I know what you mean, as some of mine have been rubbish! Usually someone is sitting on the bench and I have to refrain from moving them on ;-))

Thank you very much dear Adele. It would be a nice place to sit a while. In the winter months they serve tea and coffee in the cottage, but the bench may by then need a plump, warm cushion ;-))
