We made a special trip to Lover and Downton Herb and one location gave us some beautiful scenery with fences as a bonus...I will keep them for Friday ;-))
Thanks for your kind comments....Rosa.

I don't know about that Nick, but they used to have a Post Office where people would go to get their Valentine cards franked from Lover. Cheers, Rosa.

Grand looking church Rosalyn, but forgive me for saying the ivy growth up the building reminds me of the old video game "Space invaders".

I don't know anything about video games Maurice, so I will take your word for that :-))

Nice images Rosalyn were you able to go inside, I have just read the comment by Jean an example of how we are attracted to different things, I was thinking that ivy needs to be removed :))

I'm with Jean on that one Peter. I think it adds something to imposing late Gothic porch. I do wonder how much damage it's doing though. It looks like they keep it under control. Yes we did go inside and found a grave outside with my maiden name of Dear. Will have to investigate that!

If the stone work is in good condition no harm, but if the joints are bad quite a bit of damage, if you take it off it takes ages to get rid of the marks

Smashing pair of images from this unusual looking church Rosa. A very impressive light on the gate showing the way for the faithful.

Best regards, Doug

Thank you very much Doug. I was a little disappointed to find out that Lover was pronounced as in Dover! It seems to be a very well attended church from what we found inside.

best regards, Rosa.

I am trying to find the photos from when I visited this place a few years ago with my mother, to see if the porch was covered like this then.. I can't remember :-/
