Mountains were always regarded as something 'liminal' - in Germany and Scandinavia people believed in the old times that their leaders / kings went into mountains when they 'died'. There is still a legend that King Barbarossa (Red Beard - 12th cent. AD) waits in a mountain for coming back with his army one time and establish his realm again.
Belle fin de dimanche Ramon♫
