Rain? Well, admitedly I've only been in the summer months. The one rain day was when we were there at the end of summer closing in on fall.

The colors of the day on the river were great. The sky so very blue and the river dark and muddy, not reflecting the sky at all. Quite unusual compared to our river here in Portland.

Well captured Laura, you have seen the sights the next time you come to the uk try visiting some of the real places

Haha. I did find some "real" places. And I will again next time I go.

(In London, went to many plays and went to pubs off the beaten path. Traveled south this time and went to the Isle of Wight, staying in a cottage. Soaked up a lot of history there, including the home of Julia Margaret Cameron, Dimbola.)

And what "real" places would you recommend?

Well, Westminster really looks strange with the blue sky - thx for showing it. And the water of the Thames has almost the same colour as the building, a bit complementary to the blue of the sky.

It was strange to have that intense blue sky that day, but good for seeing the building.

Lovely wide view of Parliament and the Elizabeth Tower. Blue sky and clear colour. Now we are in autumn the weather has changed. Plenty of rain and equinoctial gales.

You're right, it does have a wonderful facade.

My particular rain issue has to do with travelling there only in the middle of summer, and not being there for very long. (Of course I understand and am upset by the global issue.)
