These curious little clouds appear in a series of shots and are too slow moving to be birds and indeed are obviously too far away for them to be that. They do move over the sequence and are not reflections within the camera lenses. I guess they are the final manifestation of a jet plane contrail, but if you have other ideas.....

The ferry is going astern leaving the port. Only in bad weather do they make the tricky manoeuvre of turning through 180 degrees in the harbour, to exit bow first.
This set of four sunsets, taken from home, have not been Photoshopped, except to give them borders and captions. I came across them whilst trying to reduce the number of jpegs clogging up my hard drive. I was surprised to see the light on the upper side of the clouds in the first two views. The jet vapour trail is a bit of a shame, but they happen a lot here. The ones twenty minutes later were more traditional sunset views.
