Having got back to Seaford from Newhaven, I spotted a bit of orange in the sky. From Seaford beach you can look straight down La Manche or the English Channel, whereas you have to get round or over Newhaven's headland to catch the sunset.

The sea can just be made out in the gap between the trees, near the centre of the photo.
At this point in my 10+minute walk to the beach, I could see that the colours were fading in the higher clouds, so another snap was snapped to catch them before they got too dim.
Tonight's batch of sunsets start here at the end of our road, as I hurried to the beach. I got caught out as we had visitors. This is the best of the bunch. By the time I got to the beach most of the fireworks were over, but a pleasant set of pastel shades remained for a bit.
