This bank of cloud was being blown along on a strong southwesterly wind. Fortunately most of its rain was falling in the sea, its fringes over the beach only gave a light shower, but enough to mean wiping the lens dry every couple of shots.

The curious curling cloud was similar to one to the north of Ewe Down a few minutes later, except that that one was bright white, with no golden glow.
