It's not the views that I need help with here, but the cars. There seems to be a distinct gender division here. The two gents and what looks like an Airedale dog have bagged the big car while the ladies are in the smaller runabout.

arts enthusiast, Alan Mays, Smiley Derleth, Roger Dodger have particularly liked this photo

I know that these weren't 'Vintage' or 'Classic' when the photo was taken, but rather brand new! Nevertheless I thought that they might be of interest.

The sort of "sporty little roadster" that young girl detective Nancy Drew used to drive - at least, in the States. : )
( Or at least, in my mind - perhaps this car is a lot older than Nancy's would have been.)

Spiffy cars with a nice view of the countryside! Seeing the dog perched so comfortably there on the back of the car makes me wonder if they let it sit that way as they drove down the road.

This appears to show the dog sitting up there while they are driving along, but the stationary unoccupied motorcycle in the background gives the game away, and they are also stationary.. However they may well have travelled like that.

Ah-ha! Could this be the same dog as that photographed on the river? Another great scene here.

I am fairly sure it was, although it was well before my time!
