World Photography Day 2022
It was one of the hottest days this year.
It still is: 32°C / 90°F at 10 pm.
I think that I already long for winter.
And as we are told to expect some shortages of natural gas in December or so (no need to explain why) I already have one of my garages almost full of wood ready to be put in my fireplace and stove when need arises.
This is a sample of what is still waiting to be chopped and stashed in my basement maybe. One of these days, when it gets colder.
For now it is just something to shoot on the World Photography Day
(in lack of more interesting objects).

"Four good things there are in the world: old wood to start fires; old wine to drink by the fire; old books to read in; and old friends to trust."
Alfons X.
You are lucky in being able to heat with wood, most of us will just have to turn down the heating as far as possible.
Ja,wie es heuer im Winter wird, das weiß zur Zeit keiner,da hast du schon gesorgt, dass du Brennholz hast :))
Wünsche noch ein schönes Wochenende, ganz liebe Grüße Güni :))
Bon week-end.
Happy World Photography Day, Marta!
You probably already know I love square photos also. I learned on a square format camera, way back when, and it still resonates deeply with me. I like how it gives me a different view of the world than my normal daily vision does (which is kind of more 16:9ish).
I find black and white nature photography very difficult. What inspires you to choose black and white for a photo such as this?
Happy (belated) World Photography Day!
