Again ...

Again ...
In the past six weeks this road has been closed several times due to flooding, and is closed again until further notice. The pumping stations are working effectively at present, but the Levels are inundated and we are under constant flood alert.

Best wishes to anyone under threat of flooding and sympathy to those for whom the worst has happened.

HFF - keep dry!

An all to familiar scene again this winter Maggie although the recent flood defense works have saved property in the area this time around,

Hi Maggs

Superb colours in the barrier, and I suspect this is not the first flood here, by any means!

Best Wishes, HFF, and a good weekend

Hope you don't see this scene for long. We've mostly escaped flooding here but the ground is saturated as there has been a lot of rain and it's very windy too. A panel of my fence is coming loose and is being held together, for how long I know not, with an old pair of thermal leggings.

Hi Maggs. I must admit that I am a little surprised at seeing so few photos of the floods here in Ipernity. Millions of people are affected and apart from you and maybe a handful of others, not another is an Ipernity member. Sad! -- As is this photo for what it represents for you. I am lucky, living in a hilly town so not much chance of real floods here in Oldham. Mythenroyd and its surrounding flooded area is one of my late photographic stamping grounds. Anyway - well done.

HFF, enjoy the weekend.

That's not a good situation Maggie............I hope you're safe and dry!

I thought at first this was a selective colour image, but close up I see it's not............just a bit of almost monochrome weather! Nicely composed and taken!

HFF to you and have a super weekend.

Let's hope that we don't have more flooding Maggie, and at least this road is properly closed off. There are quite a lot of people in the villages who report that people are still driving through the flood water effectively pushing the water into their homes. HFF and have a good weekend

We've been out in the desert and the thought of flooding there seems very remote, though it does happen.
